Use this article when something about the visitor, student, or scan result does not match.
Before you start
- Know who your on-duty administrator or supervisor is.
Steps
- Do not confirm the scan yet.
- Keep the student inside the supervised area.
- Check the scan preview for visitor name, role, and student names.
- Ask the visitor to wait while you verify.
- Call the school office or supervisor.
- Follow the decision from the authorized school contact.
- Record the exception if required.
Expected result
The student is not released until authorization is confirmed.
Troubleshooting
- Escalate immediately for declined confirmations, role mismatches, or unknown visitors.
- Do not argue at the gate. Move the issue to the school office or supervisor.
