Use this article to understand what Parent, Guardian, and Driver mean during scanning.

Before you start

• Your school has already assigned adults to students.

Steps

1. Scan the visitor QR code.
2. Read the visitor role shown on the preview.
3. Confirm the student list matches the children present.
4. For a parent, follow the standard check-in or pickup process.
5. For a guardian or driver, check whether parent confirmation is required.
6. If confirmation is pending, wait before releasing the student.
7. If the adult is not listed or the role seems wrong, escalate.

Expected result

Students are released only through the role and confirmation rules set by the school.

Troubleshooting

• If an adult claims they should be authorized, direct them to the school office.
• If the role is expired or missing, do not manually approve without administrator instruction.
