1. General Disclaimer
SpurrCampus is operated by Spurr Empire Limited, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.
SpurrCampus provides technology tools to support school registration, student management, parent engagement, check-in and check-out workflows, pickup and drop-off records, bulletins, announcements, notifications, and related school operations.
SpurrCampus is not a school, childcare provider, security company, emergency service, legal adviser, regulatory adviser, or child protection authority.
Use of SpurrCampus is subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Technology Platform Only
SpurrCampus is a technology platform designed to assist schools and authorized users with information management, communication, and operational workflows.
SpurrCampus does not operate schools, supervise students, employ school staff, manage school premises, train school personnel, or make school safety decisions.
Schools remain responsible for their own policies, procedures, staff training, student supervision, physical security, emergency response, parent communication practices, and legal compliance.
3. Student Safety and Human Verification
SpurrCampus may provide tools such as student profiles, parent and guardian records, photos, authorized representative records, QR codes, verification codes, check-in records, check-out records, manual overrides, staff confirmations, and audit logs.
These tools are intended to support school procedures. They do not replace human judgment, staff verification, school supervision, or child protection protocols.
School staff must use appropriate care and professional judgment when verifying students, parents, guardians, drivers, emergency contacts, and other authorized representatives.
SpurrCampus does not guarantee that unauthorized pickup, mistaken release, incomplete verification, misconduct, emergency incidents, or other safety-related events will never occur.
4. School Responsibility
Schools are responsible for deciding how SpurrCampus is used within their organization.
This includes responsibility for:
- setting up users, roles, and permissions;
- maintaining accurate student, parent, guardian, staff, and authorized representative records;
- obtaining required consents and permissions;
- training staff on proper use of the platform;
- verifying pickup and drop-off authorization;
- reviewing manual overrides and exceptions;
- maintaining appropriate child protection and safeguarding procedures;
- complying with applicable education, privacy, data protection, safety, employment, and child protection laws.
SpurrCampus provides tools to support these responsibilities, but it does not assume those responsibilities on behalf of the school.
5. Parent, Guardian, and Authorized Representative Responsibility
Parents, guardians, drivers, emergency contacts, and authorized representatives are responsible for keeping their information accurate and up to date.
This may include contact details, relationship information, pickup and drop-off permissions, device access, login credentials, notification settings, and any changes affecting who may collect or interact with a student.
Users must not share login credentials, QR codes, verification codes, or account access with unauthorized persons.
SpurrCampus is not responsible for consequences caused by inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or unauthorized information provided by users or schools.
6. Communications and Notification Delivery
SpurrCampus may support communications through email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, in-app messages, and other communication channels.
Message delivery may depend on third-party providers, internet connectivity, mobile networks, email systems, device settings, app permissions, user contact details, and other factors outside our control.
SpurrCampus does not guarantee that every message, alert, bulletin, announcement, confirmation, or notification will be delivered immediately, successfully, or without error.
Schools should not rely solely on SpurrCampus messages for emergencies or urgent safety-critical communication. Schools should maintain separate emergency communication procedures.
7. Data Accuracy and Records
SpurrCampus depends on information entered, uploaded, approved, or maintained by schools and users.
We do not guarantee that all student records, parent records, guardian records, staff records, authorization details, photos, check-in records, check-out records, bulletins, announcements, or other information entered into the platform will always be accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
Schools and users are responsible for reviewing and correcting information where appropriate.
System records, audit logs, timestamps, and reports are intended to support accountability and administration, but they should be reviewed in context and may depend on user actions, device status, connectivity, system configuration, and third-party services.
8. Legal, Regulatory, and Professional Advice
SpurrCampus does not provide legal, regulatory, accounting, educational, safeguarding, compliance, or professional advice.
Information, templates, workflows, reports, reminders, and platform features are provided for general operational support only.
Schools and users should seek advice from qualified professionals or relevant authorities where needed, including in relation to education law, child protection, employment obligations, privacy, data protection, security procedures, and regulatory compliance.
9. Data Protection and Privacy Compliance
SpurrCampus provides tools that may assist schools with managing information and records, but schools remain responsible for their own privacy and data protection compliance.
Schools are responsible for determining what personal data they collect, why they collect it, how they use it, who may access it, how long it should be retained, and what notices, consents, or lawful bases are required.
Use of SpurrCampus does not by itself guarantee compliance with the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020, the General Data Protection Regulation, or any other privacy or data protection law.

10. AI-Generated or AI-Assisted Content
SpurrCampus may offer or integrate AI-generated or AI-assisted features, including tools that help draft, summarize, translate, suggest, edit, or generate text, images, bulletins, announcements, or other content.
AI-generated or AI-assisted content may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsuitable, inappropriate, or legally problematic.
Schools and users are responsible for reviewing, editing, approving, and verifying AI-generated or AI-assisted content before using, publishing, sending, or relying on it.
SpurrCampus does not guarantee that AI-generated or AI-assisted content is accurate, original, lawful, non-infringing, appropriate, or suitable for any school community or audience.
11. Third-Party Services
SpurrCampus may rely on or integrate with third-party services, including cloud hosting providers, email providers, SMS providers, WhatsApp providers, push notification providers, payment processors, analytics services, monitoring tools, AI providers, and other external systems.
Third-party services may experience delays, outages, errors, interruptions, security incidents, policy changes, pricing changes, or service limitations.
SpurrCampus is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, although we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers where they are needed to operate the platform.
12. Availability and Technical Issues
We aim to provide a reliable service, but SpurrCampus may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, or affected by errors from time to time.
This may happen because of maintenance, updates, internet issues, hosting issues, device problems, browser issues, third-party provider failures, security events, user error, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
SpurrCampus does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available access to the platform.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spurr Empire Limited is not responsible for losses, claims, damages, incidents, disputes, or liabilities arising from:
- school policies, procedures, decisions, or omissions;
- failure by a school or user to verify identity or authorization;
- inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unauthorized information;
- misuse of accounts, QR codes, verification codes, or login credentials;
- failure of messages, alerts, or notifications to deliver;
- user error or unauthorized use;
- third-party service failures;
- use of AI-generated or AI-assisted content without proper review;
- failure by a school or user to comply with applicable laws or professional obligations.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may post the updated Disclaimer on our website or provide notice through other reasonable means.
The updated Disclaimer will take effect from the date stated at the top of the page unless another effective date is provided.
