Preparing your school for launch

A launch checklist for configuration, staff training, parent rollout, and go-live day.

What this article covers

Use this article to plan the rollout before SpurrCampus becomes part of your daily arrival and dismissal process.

Before you start

  • Your school has chosen a launch date.
  • You have a staff lead responsible for check-in operations.
  • Your parent communication channel is ready.

Steps

  1. Set a soft-launch date and a full go-live date.
  2. Complete branch, class, student, and check occasion setup.
  3. Run a staff-only test using sample students and QR scans.
  4. Send the parent rollout letter with sign-in instructions.
  5. Invite parents and confirm that the first group can sign in.
  6. Train scanning staff at the actual scanning station.
  7. On go-live day, assign one administrator to monitor check events and confirmations.
  8. After the first day, review issues and update your procedure.

Expected result

Your team has a traceable launch plan and knows what must be verified before families use the system.

Troubleshooting

  • If parent adoption is low, resend invitations and share the parent onboarding guide.
  • If scans are slow, test network strength and camera access at the scanning station.
