Adding staff and assigning access
Invite administrators and scanning staff with the correct level of access.
What this article covers
Use this article when giving school staff access to the portal or scanner.
Before you start
- You know the staff member email address.
- You know whether they need organization-wide or branch-only access.
- The role you need already exists in the portal.
Steps
- Go to Users and Access → Invitations.
- Click Send invitation.
- Enter the staff member email address.
- Choose the invitation type that matches the role you are assigning.
- For scanning staff, choose a branch role and select the correct branch.
- Add a short message if needed.
- Send the invitation.
- Check the invitation list for Pending status.
Expected result
The staff member receives an email invitation and can create a password. Once accepted, their menus match the role assigned.
Troubleshooting
- If the staff member cannot see Scan QR, confirm they have a scanning or branch staff role.
- If the invitation expired, resend it from the invitation list.
